Ai… it has been an interesting. It can do things for you, be a search engine, type emails, create graphics, code, and even sites? Yep, that is correct, it can literally code html as if it has years of experience. Its amazing, but what does that mean for us humans? Ai has already became so advanced, the future doesn’t seem promising with Ai just stealing my job.

I am with you dear reader, its been scary. But us designers are still important, there is only so much Ai can generate without it just outputting the same work, over, and over again. Ai also cannot express emotion into its creation, only mimics! That doesn’t make us humans obsolete do design… we still play an important role. Automated tasks… well yes Ai absolutely took that, they cannot make original ideas and will rely on humans to feed them more data to mimic a human and create its own ideas. We need to learn how to use Ai as a tool instead of just letting it take over jobs and start by allowing it in our workflow.

Adobe has been implementing Ai into the software, it being Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc, but why? It all comes down to staying competitive. Creative works, such as this, takes time! But by adding Ai features, time starts to no longer be an issue, it speeds up the process and with that, allows you to pump out content more than you ever could.

Another reason is the accessibility, not everyone who are using these products are well versed and experienced. So, Ai can lower the experience ceiling by quite a lot and less experienced users can catch up and create things just as polished and visually appealing like an experienced user. This can lead more non-creatives to Adobe to try out and use other software for design like art or video editing.

And lastly, and most obvious of it all, we as a society are just heading the direction of Ai. Whether you like it or not, this really is the future. Adobe would have to adapt to implementing Ai, if not, their competitors would have already done so already.

Adobe lately has been trying to push Ai into their products. Going to be completely transparent, I like it! It removes the added time on making a graphic like a star or an object at a certain angle of lighting. Just making things like photoshop or illustrator more easier to use, people with less experience on the software can catch up to much more experienced users in lightning speed.

People make the say that its not ethical, but if you think about it, a lot of things over the centuries have changed for ethical reasons. Photography was criticized by painters, digital art was frowned upon by traditional artists. Things has to change, Ai is now another step to this change.

I agree, ethics are a concern but society has been built to adapt, we are always adjusting to new things and set new standards to things they have adapted to. Instead of just COMPLETELY rejecting Ai as a whole, we should create standards on how to use it responsible.
